Seeds of Wisdom
13-Week Email Course
Week 6 — Life Force
October 25, 2019
Welcome to Week 6 in the 13-week Seeds of Wisdom email course. Today brings you the sixth wisdom theme in the course: Life Force.
Today is also the day of our first live Zoom call. The call begins at 10am Pacific time. I hope you can join me! Access details are here: https://www.eastlycreative.com/email-course-call-1
Before our attention goes to the theme of Life Force, be sure to do whatever you need to do to become complete with last week’s theme of Creation.
Life Force is one of 12 essential themes for guidance and growth in my book and deck, Seeds of Wisdom. We’ll continue with our basic rhythm for exploring each week’s theme: read… reflect… respond… Four possible practices are included for sparking the wisdom of Life Force in your life.
Life Force says YES!
Take a moment to simply gaze at the image of Life Force below. What do you see? What do you feel? What connections rise in your mind? Now read through a brief description of the theme.
a brief excerpt on the theme
What started as a sleepy seed has now pushed up through soil to become a radiant sunflower. It is earthy and fully alive.
The sunflower in the Life Force card is radiant, like you, having imbibed the light from the Sun and photosynthesized it into itself. The sunflower is the Sun made manifest on Earth.
We are each vessels for Life Force to inhabit, channels for Life Force to flow through. Life Force is the true power available to each being.
Life Force does not suggest; it insists. What are you insisting on? What is pushing its insistence on you?
The wisdom of Life Force is the power to say YES! It is a resounding affirmation. Though an endeavor you are considering may require effort from you, it is worth working for. You have permission to shine. Live your life fully.
Keywords for Life Force
lower chakras; radiance; vitality;
awakening; insistence; personal power;
affirmation; effort; worthy work
in meditation and in writing
What about the image and/or words are a big YES to you?
Reflect — in meditation and in writing — on your personal understanding of Life Force. What does Life Force mean to you?
For 5 minutes, do some form of energy meditation. Try this: imagine calling up Life Force energy from the Earth or drawing it down from the Sun and feeling this energy circulate through your system. Follow your meditation with 5 minutes (or more!) of writing.
by placing symbols on your altar
What calls out a YES that it wants to be on your Life Force altar this week? What symbolizes your understanding of Life Force?
The colors red, orange, and yellow are connected with the base chakras of the human energy system. Perhaps these colors seek a home on your altar this week.
If you have the Seeds of Wisdom cards, you may want to place the Life Force card on your altar. If you don’t have the cards, you are welcome to print the image above and use that.
Over the next week, let yourself pause at your altar frequently and discover how the theme of Life Force shows its wisdom for you.
for exploring the theme
Here are some possible practices for exploring the theme of Life Force. Keep in mind, these are optional! It’s entirely up to you how much time and space you want to dedicate to this process:
Practice 1 — Take Empowered Action
Choose a task you’ve been putting off, and DO IT. Put in extra effort toward a project that is meaningful to you. Say “yes” to opportunities that come your way.
Practice 2 — Charge Up in Nature
Go into nature, preferably a wild spot. Stand tall. Open your arms out wide. Imagine that you are absorbing life force energy through your pores. Feel yourself rejuvenated.
Practice 3 — Get or Give Healing
Receive (or give) energy work or another form of healing.
Practice 4 — Notch Up Your Exercise
Take your exercise practice up a notch (safely, of course). If you’ve been sedentary for a while, do something simple, like go for a walk. If you’re a runner, shave a few seconds off your mile.
toward the end of next week
Let your process with Life Force come to a close as you approach the end of next week.
Use your journal to take notes on your experience with the theme. Take a photo of your altar if you like. If you are inclined to share about your experience on social media, please tag me on FB/IG @elkaeastly and/or hashtag #seedsofwisdomcourse.
Next Friday you will receive an email introducing the next theme. Be sure to clear your altar to mark your completion with the theme of Life Force.
May your process with Life Force empower you and catalyze your well-being.
